A new chapter begins for Affiliate Gathering
Since its launch in 2022, Affiliate Gathering has established itself as the UK’s leading event for niche website entrepeneurs and the various industries associated with the burgeoning online publishing sector.
In the very capable hands of Carl Broadbent and Marie Harris, it grew into a much-loved fixture in the calendar, a vital networking and knowledge-sharing opportunity and a chance to be in the same room as – and solidify friendships with – your peers, suppliers and industry leaders.
Due to changes in their respective working lives, Carl and Marie reached out in an attempt to find a new owner for the event they had lovingly run in York since 2022.
And we’re delighted to confirm that in September 2024, a deal was done with Manchester-based Rooftree Publishing Ltd.
Rooftree Publishing is owned by David Prior, a journalist and online publishing entrepreneur, and currently has a portfolio of affiliate websites and other online publishing enterprises.
Its main title is the award-winning local news website Altrincham Today. Since its launch in 2014, this niche site has grown to over 1 million unique users a year, with a social community of over 70,000 and – for the past seven years – an acclaimed spin-off print magazine.
Since 2013, David has also been Editor of Prolific North, an online publisher and events company with a focus on the digital, media and marketing scene in the North of England. During that time he has organised, hosted and chaired dozens of events, as well as having overall editorial responsibility for its news operation.
As a previous Affiliate Gathering attendee, David is a confirmed fan of the event – and believes it can now grow to even greater heights.
That will start with a new city, a new venue and a new date for 2025.
So we’re delighted to confirm that Affiliate Gathering will be moving to the city of Manchester next year, with Affiliate Gathering 2025 now confirmed for Manchester Hall on Thursday 8th May 2025.
